Getting a piece of land in Nairobi and it’s outskirts is not just a Tom Dick and HarryAfter Newlife SDA Church did a crusade in December 2022 Maili 46 in Iloodokilani Ward, Kajiado West Sub County on the way to Namanga along the Murram road aroughly about one and a half hours drive.
The House of God conducted a crusade and unfortunately, they didn’t secure land to build a temple for worship. Along that area, an acre goes for about 2 million which they couldn’t raise.
After back and forth, the church hoped that local administration could allocate them some land after doing five visits unsuccessfully.
When the church leadership efforts did not bear any fruits they were demoralized by the situation and almost quit the fight.
The area chief who is a pastor name (withheld) as revealed by a sensational Pastor Elizabeth Mokoro proposed to the church that he (chief) has been blessed by a certain woman on social media and if they bring the woman (Pastor Mokoro) he will bless the church with a piece of land to set a house of worship.
Pastor Elizabeth Mokoro states during the preaching,
Mokoro speaks. “So the senior area chief says there’s a woman that has blessed my life on social media. If you can get a hold of her and bring her here and I see her face to face, I will give you a piece of it has not been easy due to my busy schedule. But I told them to squeeze some time as I come to Donhom.”
Pst. Mokoro revealed to the congregation that the Chief is also a bishop who manages a church along Namanga highway in the Kajiado West sub-county.
Pst. Mokoro with Newlife followers did a surprise visit as she narrated. “So when we go to the church, also, it was a surprise visit. He also didn’t know we were coming. Then he saw me and programmes changed. He said now you’re preaching today. We had no intentions of teaching. So we had to preach.”
After the sermon according to Pst Mokoro, she told the congregation that the Bishop (area chief) rose and said the land is given at least 3-5 acre. an act Mokoro says is a huge blessing for the community.
During a private conversation with other leaders, the Bishop (Chief) revealed how Mokoro had blessed his life. Mokoro told the congregation how the chief has a lavish office in Kajiado.
The chief told Pst. Mokoro that he will start the transferring steps of the land through the authorities to the church following the administrative process
Mokoro reveals, “They will allocate them about three to five acres as planned. I’m happy for the power of God’s intervention and I hope for the best.”
Furthermore, Mokoro praised how New Life SDA church conducts its activities, “and the way of evangelizing that in a treating an entered place they don’t just set up a church. They set up a school and even the locals will not give you land if it’s just for church. They want something that can help the local community.”
The Kajiado area is one of the prime places.
Pst Mokoro shared a light moment when she saw beautiful wild animals she had never seen face to face.
“The road is not there yet, but very prime. Still in the wild. I met an ostrich I saw a giraffe and they stay with those things like this is someone’s house. The giraffe is here. Beautiful place. That is our God’s works. It’s my prayer this week. It doesn’t ever happen like this.”
Finally, Pst Mokoro praised the move revealing how the the Cabinet Secretary for the Interior & National Administration with county government is set to launch the foundation of the church in a few days to come.
