Police in Kahawa Wendani are investigating the murder of a female Kenyatta University student in her house by an alleged lover.
On March 31 2017,police who responded to a call and found Irene Kananu Maitethia’s body in her house, her private body parts had been stuffed in her fridge.
The deceased Irene Kananu Maitethia, a human resource manager of Thika based company lived on the same floor with her lover Mohammed Wairimu also a student Kenyatta University.
This as her alleged lover ,Mohammed Wairimu went missing. He would later be found in the coast allegedly driving Irene’s car.
Friends raised alarm when they noticed Mohammed had Irene’s ATM cards in his wallet.Details which try to link him to the mysterious murder.
Ruiru OCPD, Joseph Thuranira said police had asked for more time to wrap up the investigation.
The suspect is now in a police custody,and the police said he would help with the ongoing investigations to bring the killers to book.
