ODM offices in Migori was on Sunday night burnt by unknown arsonists a day before the party deputy leader Hassan Joho its official opening on Monday 3.
Angry youths accused Migori governor Okoth Obado of hiring goons to set ablaze the new party office.Obado was elected on People’s Democratic party.
The office was to officially be opened today and followed by a rally later in the evening at a local stadium.However,the organizers who were putting up the venue and the pubic address system were barred and asked to seek clearance from the governor’s office.
There has been a stand off over ownership of the office.
Party officials claimed the building in which the office is housed belongs to ODM.
