Somebody once said you shouldn’t do business with relatives! Miss World Kenya 2005 Rachel Marete jetted back to Kenya a few weeks ago.
Ms Marete relocated to US many years ago, she leads a good life in Beverly Hills where she is a TV host, singer and songwriter.
The Miss Kenya 2005 flew back home to launch her new cloth line business and TV show which is already showing on ShowMax.
Rachel offered her cousin Irene Kaluki 20% of her business since she was jobless – the deal was more of a big sister supporting her young sister.

Friction between Rachel and Irene began when the two planned for a photoshoot of the cloth line; Irene challenged the dates despite the tight timeline schedule.
Rachel chose to use another model for the photoshoot since her cousin pretended to be unavailable. The replacement of the model however didn’t mean that Irene would miss her 20% of the business share.
Irene got mad by Rachel decision to replace her in the photoshoot and she decided to be silent before she went on rampage fabricating stories about the Miss World Kenya 2005.
Rachel decided to take legal action against her evil cousin in a bid to stop her from tainting her name; they however resorted to solve their case out of court. In a written affidavit, Irene Kaluki admitted she dispensed false statements to damage Rachel’s reputation.
She also signed a non disclosure agreement to stop her from sharing any false information about Rachel - if Irene posts any negative message about Rachel she will be arrested and charged in court.
